Drill press guard

Drill presses usually come with a transparent plastic guard to prevent chips from flying into your face, whether they are wood, plastic, or metal. It also prevents you from putting your hand in while the chuck is rotating.

If yours breaks or if you have a drill mounted on a column stand, you can buy one of the guards we show below. But pay close attention to the dimensions and the way it is installed (usually something simple) to ensure that the guard you purchase fits your drill press.
